ASTM F1554
SUMMARY
The ASTM F1554 standard covers anchors bolts used as structural supports for concrete foundations. Anchors can be bent, straight, headed, and headless anchor bolts. There are three grades contained within the standard: Grade 36, Grade 55, or Grade 105, with the number designating the minimum yield strength (ksi) of the anchors. Bolts can be supplied either cut or rolled, with rolled using an undersized material and cut using full size material. A weldable Grade 55 (Grade 55-S1) can be substituted for Grade 36 at the supplier's option
APPLICATIONS
Applications include column supports for highway signs, street lighting & traffic signals, steel bearing plates, building columns, and other similar types of applications.
